FAQs
What can I expect during a psychological assessment?
Your journey with me begins with a conversation—an opportunity for us to connect and discuss what you’re hoping to understand or achieve through the assessment. From there, I'll gather a thorough history, so I can tailor the assessment process to your specific needs. Psychological tests are then used to explore various aspects of your mental abilities, personality, or neurological functioning, depending on what you're seeking clarity on.
Rest assured, this is all done in the privacy and comfort of my office, where I strive to make sure you feel relaxed. I offer snacks and breaks anytime during our sessions to ensure your comfort throughout. Typically, I meet with clients for three to six sessions, with each one lasting about two hours. We'll decide together how many sessions will be best after our first meeting. When the assessment is complete, I'll walk you through the results and answer any questions. Together, we can then build a treatment plan that feels right for you, whether that involves individual therapy, group support, or exploring other options like medication management.
